Commercial Lighting Supply Return Policy
Commercial Lighting Supply supports commercial, industrial, institutional, contractor, and project-based purchasing. Because many products are sourced directly from manufacturers or fulfillment partners, return requests are subject to manufacturer authorization requirements, restocking policies, and product eligibility guidelines.
Return instructions and routing information are provided only after a return request has been reviewed and approved.
Return Eligibility
Return requests must be submitted within 60 days of delivery.
To qualify for return consideration, products must be unused, uninstalled, in original factory packaging, in resalable condition, and accompanied by proof of purchase and the original order number.
Products that have been installed, modified, damaged after delivery, or altered in any way are not eligible for return.

If approved, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) and return instructions will be issued.
Depending on the manufacturer and product type, returned material may be routed to a manufacturer facility, regional warehouse, or designated return center.
Do not return products without prior authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Shipments
Please inspect all shipments promptly upon delivery.
If material arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect, notify Commercial Lighting Supply as soon as possible so the issue can be documented and resolved.
Photos of the product, packaging, shipping label, and any visible damage may help expedite review and resolution.
Non-Returnable Products
The following items are generally not eligible for return:
- Custom-configured products
- Modified fixtures or assemblies
- Special-order material
- Non-stock products
- Made-to-order products
- Installed products
- Clearance or closeout items
- Gift cards
Additional manufacturer restrictions may apply.
Exchanges
Commercial Lighting Supply does not process direct product exchanges.
If replacement material is required, a new order may be placed once return authorization and product eligibility have been confirmed.
Manufacturer Restocking Charges
Certain manufacturers may assess restocking fees on approved returns.
Any applicable restocking fees, freight charges, or manufacturer deductions will be disclosed during the return authorization process when available.
European Union Customers
For orders delivered within the European Union, customers may have the right to cancel eligible purchases within 14 days of receipt under applicable consumer protection regulations.
Products must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Refund Processing
Once returned material has been received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days following final approval and inspection. Financial institutions may require additional processing time before funds appear on your account.
