Commercial Lighting Supply Shipping Policy
Commercial Lighting Supply supports commercial, industrial, institutional, contractor, and project-based purchasing. Shipping methods, lead times, routing, and delivery requirements may vary by manufacturer, product type, configuration, order size, and carrier availability.
Shipping details are confirmed during order review when required, especially for freight shipments, special-order material, configured products, and project-based releases.
Shipping Costs
Some products may qualify for free shipping when stated at the time of order. Other products are shipped using rate-based parcel, freight, or manufacturer-direct shipping methods.
Shipping charges may be based on product size, weight, quantity, ship-to location, packaging requirements, and whether delivery requires parcel service, LTL freight, or specialized handling.
Processing Times and Lead Times
Orders are processed after product availability, configuration, and manufacturer requirements are reviewed.
Many stocked products may ship within 1–3 business days. Special-order, configured, made-to-order, or manufacturer-direct products may require extended lead times.
Lead times are estimates and may change due to manufacturer production schedules, inventory status, freight capacity, or carrier delays.
Special Order and Project Material
Certain commercial lighting products are special order, configured, or project-specific. These items may require manufacturer confirmation before release and may not be eligible for cancellation once processing has begun.
For time-sensitive projects, requested delivery dates should be communicated before order release so availability and routing can be reviewed.
Multiple Shipments and Ship-From Locations
Orders may ship from multiple warehouses, manufacturers, or distribution facilities. Separate tracking numbers, delivery dates, and carrier methods may apply.
Partial shipments may occur when products are sourced from different locations or when certain items are available before others.
Freight Deliveries
Large fixtures, poles, high bays, area lights, linear lighting, palletized material, and oversized products may require LTL freight delivery.
Freight deliveries may require appointment scheduling, a commercial delivery address, dock access, forklift access, liftgate service, or other site coordination.
Additional charges may apply for residential delivery, limited-access locations, liftgate service, inside delivery, re-delivery, storage, missed appointments, or address changes after shipment release.
Tracking and Delivery Updates
Tracking information is provided when available after shipment release. Freight tracking may be limited until the carrier has processed the shipment through its terminal network.
Delivery dates provided by carriers are estimates and are not guaranteed unless a specific guaranteed service has been arranged and confirmed in writing.
Delivery Inspection
All shipments should be inspected immediately upon delivery.
Before signing carrier paperwork, check cartons, pallets, and packaging for visible damage, shortage, or signs of mishandling. Visible damage or shortage should be noted on the delivery receipt before acceptance.
Retain all packaging, cartons, pallets, and delivery documentation until the material has been fully inspected and verified.
Damaged or Missing Material
If material arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, contact Commercial Lighting Supply as soon as possible with your order number, ship-to location, photos, and delivery documentation.
Prompt reporting helps support carrier claims, manufacturer review, and replacement coordination when applicable.
International Shipping
International shipping may be available for select products and destinations.
Duties, taxes, brokerage charges, customs fees, import requirements, and destination regulations are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise stated in writing.
Title and Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss generally transfer according to the applicable shipping terms, manufacturer routing, carrier handling, and order documentation.
